About us
JAC is a growing family-owned company specialized in the design and manufacturing of machines for the food industry and retail supermarkets. Our company relies on a strong international network of dealers and distributors to deliver our equipment to a broad range of clients (artisan bakers, supermarkets, food professionals, etc.).
To support the expansion of our sales network, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager who will be responsible for the development and management of the business with bakeries, supermarkets, and distributors, within the area North Germany.
Main Responsibilities
Commercial Development & Partner Management
- Develop, manage, and support a network of dealers, distributors, and partners in your assigned area.
- Identify and approach new strategic partners to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Define and adjust sales and pricing strategies according to local market conditions and partner needs.
Technical Support & Client Relations
- Act as the interface between the factory, our dealers, and the end-users (bakers, supermarket chains, food manufacturers...).
- Present machines in a clear and professional manner to a variety of audiences, whether at trade shows, on-site visits, or via virtual platforms (Teams, Zoom...).
- Gather current and future user needs from the field and communicate them to the R&D team to support product development.
Operational & Administrative Follow-up
- Work closely with internal teams (sales support, after-sales, production...) to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth project execution.
- Monitor customer payments and coordinate with the administrative team to ensure timely collection.
- Act as a facilitator between clients and internal departments (technical support, logistics, planning, accounting, etc.).
Profile
Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in machinery sales, ideally in the food industry or in professional equipment.
- Strong understanding of international distribution networks and complex sales cycles.
- Technically inclined, with a genuine interest in the supermarket or bakery sector.
- Excellent commercial and interpersonal skills, able to adapt to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Languages
- Fluent in German and English.
- Any other language is a valuable asset.
Tools
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams...).
- Comfortable with remote presentations using tools like Teams or Zoom.
Working Conditions
- Highly autonomous, but a team player who works closely with office-based colleagues.
- Occasional presence required at Liège headquarters.
- Willing to travel, including internationally and occasionally on weekends (trade shows, customer events...).
